Role Overview
The DevOps Engineering Lead will play a crucial role in overseeing and implementing sustainable development practices within our organization. This position requires a strong focus on enhancing the collaboration between development and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from development to deployment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities and a comprehensive understanding of cloud technologies, enabling them to drive efficiency and innovation in our engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Design and implement scalable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Oversee and manage infrastructure on cloud platforms to optimize performance.
- Collaborate with software development teams to enhance software engineering practices.
- Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high availability of applications.
- Drive automation efforts for build, release, and configuration management processes.
- Implement security best practices across the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues in real-time with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation between development and operations teams.
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficient in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Extensive knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IAC) tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Solid grasp of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Excellent command of version control systems (Git).
- Ability to create and maintain documentation for processes and systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with serverless architectures
- Knowledge of database management and optimization
- Experience in mentoring junior engineers
